This is Elaina Jo Bailey, my first Grand-child. She was born August 15, 1982 in Gold Beach, Oregon and she is a care-giver. She has a heart of gold. She loves people, has one son and one dog.
She works for her mother at the Elderhome for a few hours each week, but she is full time giving her heart and her care to 1) Cheryl, who is older and handicapped and confined to her home. To 2} Anna Bell, who is 97 and has a good mind and has lived her life as a farm wife in a nearby town., who created a quilt for Lainie for Christmas. and To 3) Frances who is 94 and can no longer walk the four miles she used to, when she went every day to
town.
When Lainie was just learning to walk, we went to Pony Village Mall, in Coos Bay. We'd shopped a lot and my husband was on crutches and needed to rest for a time. We found a bench that already had an old couple sitting on it. Bill sat Lainie on the bench on the opposite end from the couple. But she moved quickly, went straight to them and threw her arms around the two of them and hugged them hard.
I began to apologize for her, they said almost in unison, "Oh don't! She made our day!" I'm sure they're gone now, but she's always been spontaneous and loving...and I'd bet they still remember!
