I'm not sure if age has anything to do with this. I remember that I loved "horror" shows as a kid. Movies like Godzilla, and TV shows like the Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock. Anything with space aliens. Today's "horror" shows are just gore and maybe 50 bloddy killings per hour. Very little in terms of a plot but lots and lots of blood.
