Were you ever vulnerable because of a pre-conceived notion?

For years, I wore dresses and skirts because it was the lady-like thing to do. I finally began wearing pants and slacks when I decided to not give a rip about doing the proper thing. I fell in love with bell bottom pants and palazzo pants. Now I wear them a lot more than ever! ;-)
