I saw a documentary on TV once. They had a very famous plastic surgeon on and were interviewing her. She was also an artist and the interview was in her studio. She was working on a sculpture of a young woman. She was explaining the Golden Ratio which is a scientific equation that pertains to faces (among other things) and how attractive facial proportions can be if you follow the Golden Ratio. Her sculpture was absolutely gorgeous. She was talking about these facial proportion proportions and then she said. "You know, most plastic surgeons don't know about this. They never studied art. They are missing a very important part of corrective surgery. They might be good technically in correcting a nose, but they don't know about how that nose relates to the other features of the face." That made me think, "Damn! She's right. Drs. don't know that! Maybe that's the reason everyone looks so bad."
