Apparently the King is running into a bit of trouble with the German authorities as well, although I don't have a ready link. I read recently that he spends most of his time at this home in Germany and the left learning parties in the Federal Republic are being critical of his (possibly illegal) political activities from German soil.

As a general rule, it never seems to work out well when a monarch spends more time in Europe than in his own realm. For some strange reason people always seem to think their monarch should spend most of his time in the country he rules.
