The Prince of Wales will be representing the UK (or it least its queen). From the Clarence House instagram account:
The Prince of Wales will visit Japan on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen to attend the Ceremony of Enthronement of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito.
The visit will take place from 22nd to 23rd October and will include a day of engagements in Tokyo to celebrate British-Japanese connections.
