The Times newspaper today (16.1.2016) carries a story about a Welshman, Keith Williams, who had been tracking down his natural parents (he was adopted as a baby) and found that whilst his mother was English, his father was the late 33rd Sultan of Perak (d.1984). His journey to meet his royal relatives was filmed by the Welsh language channel S4C and the article say "he received a chilly welcome", possibly as they were concerned about his motives as he would be the first born son of the late Sultan and even born out of wedlock perhaps they thought he was looking for some kind of inheritance.
