To Ben, I am surprised to know that there are 9 claiming to be "sultans" of Sulu (and Sabah). I happened to meet two, I think, in Sabah, many years ago. The history of the Sulu Sultanate has not failed to enthrall me because I am a Filipino and the Sulu Sultanate is Filipino. The Muslim brothers in Sandakan, Tawau, Beaufort and the other places who cling to the belief thaT SABAH would be returned by Malaysia to the Sultanate are worthy of respect and pride.
