MCAT or GRE confused:/

hi I wanted to know what should I consider at this point, low are score 290 average taken it twice using MAGOOSH, which of course I know is low but does anyone think I have a chance with 3.1 uGPA?

Trying to figure if should hold off on this cycle to take MCAT study for six months to take it? Or should I focus on completing post bacc program in order to help rise my gpa?

totally confused at this point on what steps I should!

My recommendation, get that score up. I had spoken to a Nova admissions counselor directly and she said they want a combined 300, with a 55%tile on the quant section, meaning I believe a 154-155. Good luck!

I took the mcat and it’s a beast of an exam and shouldn’t be taken lightly because it is a test beyond just knowledge. I don’t know what circumstances are surrounding your uGPA but I would argue strongly the easiness (for lack of a better term) of the GRE compared to the MCAT and would say keep hammering out the GRE unless of course a school you want to go go requires it. However a high MCAT can definitely help overcome a lower GPA so it’s a tough choice to make. Maybe take a practice mcat exam and see how you do or see if it’s sometjing you think you want to go for.

Thanks I would take this into consideration my gpa isn't the best but strong upward trend for the past two year hoping they consider that at least! & I was also considering just trying to do a prep course for the GRE. Due to no improvement from my last test scores.

Also same goes for the GRE and a high score can offset other things - my mcat wasn’t great but I believe the whole package is what admissions is looking for.
