Emory

Hello! Has anyone received acceptance to Emory yet? I interviewed last week and was wondering about how long they take to make decisions. I need to accept or decline another school acceptance by the end of this week and I was really hoping to know whether or not I will be accepted to Emory before making this decision. I called to try to get any info about timing and the lady who answered was very rude and even laughed at me....not a good impression.

Anyway, anyone have any ideas??

Attended last week. All I will say is that they weren't bad. Wouldn't be advantageous to share a lot of info judging that we're all competitors for now but hopefully future classmates. Best of luck!

Im assuming after the last round of interviews which the academic calendar specifies as the 7th of December. I read on this forum that last year's Emory applicants heard back around the 8th of December so that's the date im expecting. Regardless I've been checking my email every hour due to being the anxious applicant I am lol

When I interviewed during early consideration they told us we should hear back in about 10 days. I received an acceptance email less than a week after my interview. I remember Emory telling us they would be flexible with our deposit due date if we were still waiting to hear back from other programs; maybe you could call up the program you're accepted at and ask for an extension on the deposit due date? Just a thought. Best of luck!

I interviewed during the early applicant interviews in September. I wasn't selected during that time and the follow up email said that decisions will be sent out starting in December. If I were you, I would pay the deposit to accept the seat in the program you have an offer from and then wait to hear back from Emory if that is the school you ultimately want to go to. That way, you are guaranteed a seat in a program than not in a program for this cycle and having to wait a full year to apply/interview again. Its better to lose a $500-1000 deposit rather than not get into a program at all. Now if you have been accepted into CWRU, then the $3000 deposit is another story and you should be certain that it is the program you want to attend because even though you can still back out, that is a lot of money to lose.

I did, but I was slightly confused with the wording of the email. I dont know if they mean that they extended all the spot offered and waitlisted me or if they extended a few offers and are waiting to make the remainder of the decisions after holiday break.

I called and asked. They said that it means we're waitlisted. They are working on ranking everyone before they release the waitlist and where we are on it.

For everyone who has been accepted, do you all know the list of books/medicines they recommended us to learn before June?
