Has anyone interviewed at Case Western yet?

Yes, I was in one of the early groups to interview.

I have an interview coming up? What was the interview style?

So it is just how the email is described. You will arrive there and they will introduce you to the program director and give you a tour of the sim labs and facility. Afterwards, you will immediately begin your one on one interview with whoever you are scheduled with first. Then, you basically rotate from one interviewer to the next every 40 minutes since you will probably be in a group of 5. May I ask which location this is for?

Oh I apologize I was asking about interview style. Like behavioral questions? I hear some schools ask knowledge based questions such as laws of partial pressure.

Also, if you have anything unique about you, find a way to share it with them because that will make you stand out from the group when they make decisions. They may make admissions decisions as soon as you leave the program office so leave a lasting impression for them to remember you by. If you have a unique hobby or talent, tell them. It will definitely help you stand out not just as an applicant but a human being.

So I am not sure about the Washington DC location but I would assume the interview style will be the same. So you may get asked by one or two interviewer to interpret something or give an explanation on how to solve something but nothing crazy. Just use logical reasoning and take your time to understand what it is asking and solve it. They are not looking for the right answer, they just want to see how you will work through it. Other than that, as cliché as it sounds, just be yourself. Show them what you are interested in, know exactly why you want to go into this profession, know why Case and not another program, and honestly just have fun and smile. Its honestly a conversation. I interview at a few other schools and Case was by far the least intimidating. During my interview, I ended up talking sports and football with two interviewers out of the six after the basic questions about your application and such.

So I've already been accepted into Case, Nova, and waiting on Emory. I found out about CWRU the next day after the interview. So good luck to you and I'm sure you will do great on your interview. Just be relaxed and don't be nervous. Have fun!

So I already put my deposit and acceptance letter to CWRU. Before even applying, I knew I wanted to go there because of how much the program does for you, the length of the program, and the number of clinical sites to choose from. When I interviewed at Emory, they have a very well maintained facility and everyone is very nice but I felt that they weren't very personable with me as much as Case was. But they are still a great program nonetheless. I recently interviewed at Nova and they have a very nice facility and their simulation labs are top notch. The faculty there are really cool and laid back as well. But they didn't have much to offer for the amount of tuition you are paying. Case gives you a stipend for an iPad, two trips(first and second year) to the AAAA conference, and your certifying examination the fall of your second year. So this is why I ultimately chose Case over the other programs. They had everything I wanted out of a program and more!
