I have been accepted to Nova Tampa and I'm pretty sure I'm going to attend there, just wanted to post this in hopes to meet other people that are going to go to that program as well. ) never too early to start meeting fellow classmates!
Has anyone who accepted their spot at Nova Tampa gotten any information from the school after the acceptance email/letter? I know you have to pay an acceptance fee and mail an intent to enroll form to enrollment processing services, but has anyone gotten any confirmation that those items were received after submitting them?
I am applying to Nova Tampa and have my interview in November. Would you mind giving me some tips on the interview process and what it was like?
Also, would you mind posting your stats to see the caliber of students they are accepting? Tampa is my number one choice, and if I am accepted, I'm definitely going there as well!
the interview was extremely laid back, honestly just be yourself, thats all they want. If you have the interview then you have what it takes now they just want to get to know you. I know thatsvery vague of an answer because thats the answer i got before my interview and i felt like it didn't help me much, but literally thats all it is. The people interviewing me were literally making jokes the entire time and the stress i had immediately went away when i saw that. Just BE YOURSELF, i promise you, its just like having a conversation with friends. I had a 3.86 overall GPA and a 3.95 science GPA. my quantitative GRE score was 156 and my verbal GRE was a 148 (which is bad i know, but from what i understand they only care about the quantitative.) I got accepted at both tampa and fortlauderdale, im torn between the two only because fort lauderdale is right near me but i LOVED LOVED LOVED the tampa campus. may I ask you why Tampa is your top choice?
Thanks so much for your thorough response! I really appreciate it; you've been exceedingly helpful, and knowing that the interview process itself is relatively laid back puts my nerves at ease.
One of my main reasons for wanting to go to Tampa is because my long-time boyfriend lives in Orlando, so the commute between us would be 1.5 hours as opposed to 3.5. Along with that, I absolutely love everything about the Tampa program; I like how didactic/clinicals are set up, the experiences I've had with staff and students, and the job placement/retention rate/certification board pass rates are exceptional.
Congratulations on your acceptances! They're competitive programs, so you should be ecstatic!
