Hello, I was wondering what you/people know did if they were not accepted to an AA program? I'm currently an informal post-baccalaureate student since my undergrad GPA was low (2.9) due to personal health reasons, but my GPA now has been rising, and I am afraid I will not get in and am wondering what you did? I have applied to ABSN programs and was wondering if I should apply to a couple masters programs as well. I do research with an anesthesia department right now and am taking classes, but I am just worried about not getting in because of my poor undergrad GPA. Thanks and good luck to everyone applying this cycle!
Hi. Honestly, the programs accept people of varying backgrounds and your gpa might be an issue. But if other aspects of your application are strong, that may be overlooked. You said that your GPA was rising from that 2.9. Is it over a 3.1? Definitely dedicate time and score well over the average stats on the GRE and MCAT! That will help tremendously. And get as much experience/exposure as you can. My biggest advice is, you have to just apply and see how it goes. Because if you don't even apply, you are cutting yourself short and its a guaranteed decline. Good luck!
