Hey there all! So basically I'm new to the human side of medicine and will be pursuing this career. I recently was admitted to veterinary school and turned it down for personal reasons and... well here I am.
I know I make a somewhat interesting case but my GPA is around a 3.23, a GRE with Verbal: 59%, Quant 68%, Essay 54%, and I received the necessary shadowing experience. I have NOT taken the MCAT and don't plan to so that leaves 5 schools for me.
Am I even competitive especially since my clinical setting background is mostly with animals in veterinary hospitals?
Any input or tips would be IMMENSELY appreciated!

You may be able to get in to NOVA but the other schools not likely (no offense to NOVA! they just take a larger number of students). If you're bound and determined to become an AA,I really recommend taking the MCAT. It sucks, it really does, but the schools do prefer it. If you still feel that it's out of the question I would consider taking the GRE again. Your scores are "good" but nothing wrong with having the best score possible. If you have the time and money it would also be a decent idea to retake some prereqs and boost your GPA a little bit.
As for your clinical background, at least it's medical..? Obviously more human interaction would be preferred, but if your job is stable and you enjoy it maybe just try getting as much shadowing experience as possible.
