Did anyone have trouble fitting your essay from CASSA into NOVA's text box since it doesn't allow as many characters? I just put to refer to my CASAA application for the personal statement, but since they have been having trouble viewing the CASAA application I'm kind of hesitating to submit it like that. When I call the health professions admissions number half the time they don't know what they're talking about. One person didn't even know the CASAA application existed, lol, and told me that the NOVA one was the only one to be submitted for the aa program (face palm). That's pretty sad. If anyone got to talk to a more informed admissions rep and knows if they should be able to get CASAA applications open or not that would be appreciated.
Hey, check out my post on the other chat regarding the Nova supplemental application. I was able to speak with someone much more helpful than usual. He told me he could see my CASAA application (he pulled it up and stated some of my stats while I was on the phone with him) and he also stated he wasn't sure why admissions has been telling students they can't download our CASAA applications. He also said the newer, more abbreviated supplemental application won't have a spot for the personal statement, so I think they're going to just utilize the one from the CASAA application.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing that info. It just beats me how their admissions department doesn't have everyone on the same page. I guess since it's the entire health professions admissions office that some know a little more than others about the aa program, but come on, some of them just flat out know nothing about it. I know the admissions department isn't the faculty or program director, but it's still a part of the school and when they are that unorganized it reflects poorly. There hasn't been any confusion whatsoever with the other programs I'm applying to so I'm a little annoyed with Nova, but I'm basically done with all this application stuff so I'll get over it pretty quickly.
