Nova Tampa Acceptance and Housing

Hello!

Who else is planning on sending their deposit to Tampa for this upcoming year? Hopefully the NSU student government makes the facebook group soon because I look forward to hearing from you guys/gals.

Also, are there any current NSU students that have solid ideas on where to get a furnished apartment that's close to the campus? Also, if any of the future students are interested in having a roommate for next year to save some money, count me in.

I have an interview coming up in January! Im pretty excited and hoping to start with you all in June.

Im an anesthesia tech now and some of the AA's I work with who attended Nova Tampa told me the interview was very conversational. What were some of the questions they asked? Any advice?

Very nice! Grats on the interview. Being an anesthesia tech will put you in good standing already. Having the knowledge about some of the equipment that the anesthetists use already puts you ahead of the other applicants. Not many people get to see the OR day in and day out like you probably do. So I'm sure they'll ask you questions about that.

The interview overall was pretty easy going. Just know why you want to become an AA and/or why you're interested in anesthesia. It's simple really, just keep calm and be honest.

Above all, be yourself. The faculty want to see your personality. You just have to sell yourself!

I don't think I'll be moving down until March/April but I'm hoping to find a place with a yard because I'll be bringing my american bulldog! Definitely needs to be fairly close to campus because I noticed the traffic can be pretty crazy! I'm not sure if I'll be looking for a roommate or not yet but I can't wait to meet everyone on the FB page !

Also, when is everybody planning on moving down South? I was thinking late May but I might even head down earlier.

I am a second year student at nova Tampa and found that a lot of people were able to find reasonable UN-furnished places near campus, but not so much furnished. The class above you may be selling their furniture as our class sold their furniture to the class after us.

Also, there were plenty of pups in our class. Your dog will love the beach and such here.

I'm hoping that the current students are willing to sell some furniture because bringing stuff down from New York would be quite expensive.

Where did you stay when you were in your first year if you don't mind me asking? You can private message me as well, I just want to know what my options are.

Anyone hear mention of future interview dates and the number of slots still open? I received an invite for Ft. Lauderdale, but not from Tampa yet. Accepted at another program, but I'd like to see Tampa before I make a decision.

I'm still waiting to hear from Tampa as well. Just out of curiosity, when is your Ft. Lauderdale interview, if you don't mind me asking?

It was scheduled for Jan 7, but I actually cancelled it today. Hopefully someone waiting for an interview there will get a call soon. I am interviewing at South on Jan 10th though.

I'm a 1st year Nova Tampa student, and I'll be definitely selling all my furniture around the time you all come, so hold off on buying everything at once! Congrats to those who got in and enjoy your free time while you have it...
