Nova Interview 2015

Hey for anyone that has got accepted to Nova, especially at Fort Lauderdale, how long did it take them to get back to you letting you know you got in after the interview date? Any helpful interview knowledge would be also helpful if there's any useful tips and/or good advice regarding this programs interview format in particular. Thanks so much!

Curious how long after you submitted your application it took them to get back to you and schedule an interview?

hey resort I also got an interview to Nova and was received an interview two days after they received my complete application so I think the time they process definitely varies as you can see if you are still waiting for an interview

This year I was offered an interview a month after applying and was interviewed/accepted a month after that. Last year, the whole process took about 3 months because of my availability and I applied later (December) and obviously didn't get in.

Tampa called me a few hours after the interview, but you can still hear from them a few days after too. If it's longer than a week, that might not be a good sign :/

As for the interview, it's pretty relaxed, just be genuine and show your interest in them.

That's what I like to hear! Just wondering do you know how many people get a Nova interview versus getting accepted? Sorry I know it's super specific but I'm really curious cause I can't find any acceptance rates through Nova's website what so ever. Congrats on acceptance btw buddy! Thanks for the help already btw

No problem. I think Ft. Lauderdale's class accepts about 40 students and Tampa 30, though I'm not sure how many apply overall, I imagine in the hundreds. If you don't get in the first time, definitely try again if that's what you really want.

It's pretty general, they asked me about my work history per my resume, undergrad experiences and what I like to do for fun. Try and give specific, concise connections between your experiences and your potential career as an AA. I studied music as an undergrad, so they asked me how some of those sklls may carry over to this program.

Unlike other interviews, this one is fairly relaxed so be calm, confident, engaged and GENUINE. They will see if your personality will be a good fit not just for the next two years, but in the operating room environment.
