Good afternoon all, I know this forum is full of "what are my chances" posts, but I've got another one. I took the GRE today and, before I write the preliminary scores, keep in mind that I have had pneumonia for about 3 days. So, while the analytical writing is still pending, I got a 153 in both the verbal and quantitative. That puts me in the 58th percentile for verbal and 53rd for quant. I do have a 3.96 science GPA, 3.7 overall GPA, and 15 years experience as a Respiratory Therapist, in addition to some pretty good references. So, how much do you think this crumby GRE will hurt my overall application? Thanks as always!
Most people have already mentioned before that it's not just GRE scores but the whole application. I say retake it if you feel you need to. You qualify above the minimum scores required anyway. You have a great GPA with years as a Respiratory Therapist. I'm actually quite worried haha. I have similar GPA but higher GRE scores in the 80th percentile. I am still only 21 so I don't have crazy work experience. I think you are fine though. Hope to meet you during an interview.
