Applying Early

Hey AA enthusiasts,

My main concern is if I should apply early? I am currently a Junior in college and plan to apply to AA school in the fall. Should I apply early and what are the benefits to applying early?

It's best to apply as early as possible. It increases your chances of getting in. It's also a relief to know your results early. I applied as soon as applications became available (June, July, Aug) and had all my interview offers and results in the fall.

May I ask how many you applied to and which one did you do early for? How was the interview process like?

I applied early for all that I applied to. 4 schools. "Applying early" just means submitting your application early enough so that you can be considered for first round of interviews. I don't recall if date was given for all schools to be considered for early but I believe Emory gave a date. Either way though the earlier you submit an application for any school even if it doesn't specify a date is better. My interview process was what you would expect. The standard questions. Not stressful.

Oh ok. Also another thing I would like to ask. I thought that you could only apply to one school for early applications? Can you explain this whole concept to me? I know you did mention that it just means sending in the application early enough to be considered for early interviews but do some schools only allow you to do early for them and not another school?

you can apply for every school early (unless it changes this year ?) .

Oh ok. If I may also ask, which programs did you apply to exactly and which program you are attending and what was the deciding factor?
