I will be starting the Case Houston program this May and I'm wondering if any current, past, or soon to be AA students can comment on there living arrangements. If you are in the program I'd love to hear what you think of your current living arrangement. I want to try to get an idea for where most of the class will end up. Thanks!

Hey, I will also be starting the program in May!
I'm moving down from Missouri and I looked into the apartments the program suggests and was concerned at first because of the reviews, but I've been talking with a current first year student who lives at the Lanesborough. I'm in the process of getting a 2 bed/2 bath there and am looking for a roommate. You can email me at mmfd45@gmail.com and I can give you details on everything I've found.

Hey, I will also be starting the Case Houston program this May!
I went to undergrad at Rice University, which is right across the street from where the AA program is. I currently am living off campus at the Villas at Hermann Park, but this place is priceeeyyyy ($1700 for 2bed/2bath) and I can no longer afford it since I won't have any income these two years. I will be moving to an apartment complex that is much cheaper ($800 for 2bed/2bath), but 10 minutes drive away from the medical center.
If you don't know yet, medical center parking is also ridiculously pricey. However, as a Rice alumni, I can get parking at a Rice parking lot that is a 10 minute walk away from the AA program's office. The parking price there is less than 1 dollar a day (versus the 12 dollars a day at the medical center parking lots).
ANYWAYS, the whole point of this was to advertise the apartment complex where I'll be living (Oaks of Charleston) and to offer carpooling, thereby reducing parking price to 50 cents or less (depending on how many people I can reach before they choose places to live).
Take home message: Come live at the Oaks of Charleston! Cheap and I will provide easy transportation/parking!
To anyone who reads this, feel free to email me if you have any questions! chw4@rice.edu

I'm not sure if I have any answers for you but just wanted to say congratulations and that my husband will also be starting the Houston program in May. We live in Houston...actually Spring. He will have a long commute every day. I can't tell you anything about living in the med center, but I could tell you a lot about our area if interested.
