Hi all, just wondering if any of you are from Orlando and how you got ur AA shadowing experience? I'm having a hard time finding somewhere that will let me do it! thanks!
you should be able to arrange a shadowing experience through one of the schools. how far are you from tampa? or you could call one of the schools and see if they can help you arrange something in your area. idk if they can, but it is worth a try.

I'm not from Orlando but I'll try to offer some advice. I'd look into shadowing an anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist rather than limiting yourself to just an AA if you're having trouble. I'd also suggest looking into places other than hospitals. I've found hospitals to be a little more difficult. I'm currently shadowing pretty frequently at an orthopedic surgery center that's not affiliated with a hospital. If you're still having issues, I'd try to work a connection (e.g., alumni network if you went to school nearby, friend or family friend even if he/she isn't even in that department but would be willing to contact someone on your behalf).
Hey, thanks for the help. Yesterday I was able to contact the hospital and my job is a sister company for the hospital around here they're willing to let me come in and shadow. When you shadowed, did you go prepared with a list of questions? Also did you also go with the forms needed for the schools?
I didn't go with a list of questions mostly because my main ones were in my head and I figured I would think of better questions while observing (which has been true). I haven't given them the forms yet because I figure I'll probably go a few more times (have only shadowed a few hrs per visit).
