Emory AA Wait List/Hold?

Hi everyone, I received an email stating that, "at this time, the Admissions Committee is reserving final decision on your application pending further review. This is NOT a rejection letter."

Does anyone know if Emory's AA program wait lists/holds all their interviewees? Has anyone ever been wait listed like this and gotten in?

If anyone has had experience with this please share! I'd really appreciate it!

Hey mdat,

I was told they sent out letters about a week and a half ago. They told me that everyone who has been offered a position or has been put on the wait list was already notified via email. I'm not sure if they've sent out rejections letter though.

I'm currently waitlisted, so I'm just waiting. Did they give you any idea as to when they will be able to make final decisions?

No, they've just told me to wait. They said you could be wait listed all the way up to early May. But according to the "important dates" outline they gave us it says that the acceptance fees and response forms are due March 8th. So, I'm hoping that either during this week or next week there will be some movement for us on the wait list.

Please let me know if you figure anything else or hear back!

I got accepted off the wait list in July, so anything is possible. People who may have accepted decide at the last moment they don't want to do it, or decide on med school instead.

Hi!
I have not heard of them sending these out in the past, but always assumed they had a hold list. When did you recieve the email? Also when did you interview? I am just curious because I have not heard anything yet!

I looked back and found an old thread in 2007 that mentioned getting the same letter but it didn't clarify any of my questions. I received the email this morning and I interview Jan.24. Let me know if you hear anything!
