I used anything I felt I could justify if asked about it in an interview. I figure if they don't give specifics then it's up for interpretation. I got an interview with them so they must not have been too opposed to my calculations.

Were you able to find an answer? I'm curious myself.

I used all my biology, chemistry, and physics grades. Those are the main "sciences" in my mind. I didnt think mathematical science really counted so i excluded calculus. Sarah, congrats on the interview!!! That is very exciting! Do you mind sharing your stats and extracurriculars?

I used all those, plus I was an exercise science major so I used classes like exercise physiology, A&P, metabolism, etc. I thought they were justifiable. As for stats, I had a 3.65 undergrad GPA and 160/165/5.5 on the new GRE (quant/qual/writing, respectively). Not a lot of anesthesia-related extracurriculars other than shadowing, and really not even a lot of shadowing, though not for lack of trying. AA was a decision I made after graduation so my energies were focused elsewhere in school, and now I'm working full time so there's only so much I can do. Hopefully I can wow them in person to make up for my weaknesses on paper...:D

Your stats sound great! I'm sure you can wow them! haha. good luck! And i've heard that a ton of shadowing doesn't weigh much. A lot of students i've heard from said the min of 8 is perfectly fine.

Out of curiosity, when you say "a lot of students I've heard from," do you know people currently in AA programs, or have you reached out to them in some way? This board is the only communication I have with other AA applicants, and it's pretty minimal. Even though AAs are licensed in my state it doesn't seem to have caught on here yet.

Here is a facebook group that is ran by Nova students/alumni. A lot of prospective students join and ask questions. They are extremely helpful in answering questions and giving information from personal experiences. They answer some questions about other schools as well since a lot of them interviewed with more than just Nova.
