Hey guys, I'm thinking about applying to Emory and NOVA and I was wondering what my chances are. I've got a considerable amount of clinical experience and am currently working in a large hospital OR where I am exposed to both patients and anesthesiologists daily.
My stats are GPA ~3.5 MCAT 31 (B:11 P:10 V:10).
Thanks.

Why not go to med school with a 31 MCAT?

By clinical experience I mean working in doctor's offices and volunteering in clinics taking patient vitals and histories.

Chances are really good. But I'd suggest that you leave Nova as your backup. I heard they got multiple issues in recent months.

I wouldn't count Nova as a "backup school". This last year admissions were pretty selective. About 800 people applied to the Tampa program and only 30 got in. The graduating class had a 100% on their boards this year. That will probably only increase the number of applicants and selectivity.

Could you elaborate more specifically on the issues you've heard Emory's program is having? Is it related to a lack of funding for the AA program?
