Can anyone give me some good advice on ideas/suggestions for their "Personal Narrative" for the Emory app? Also, any interview advice from early applicants??
I must confess that I agonized over my narrative for weeks. Look around online for some PA personal narratives and that will give you some idea of what people generally write about. I pretty much started at the beginning of my college career and told a story of the different milestones that led me to where I am now and how I came to the decision to become an AA.
When I finished I took my narrative around to several of my college's faculty and had them proofread/edit it. They were all english professors or faculty familiar with what grad schools are looking for. I highly recommend doing this.
There are also some websites/forums dedicated to grad/med school personal essays. You just post your essay and people chime in with recommendations.
