MM- You are right, it is mostly about dedication and passion. That being said, you and Goober need to put both of those attributes into studying for the GRE right now. |
Understand the GRE IS somewhat telling of the capabilities of the characteristics of an AA applicant. The GRE is a REQUIRED (assuming no MCAT) part of the application process. Knowing this the applicant should be dedicating a lot of time to learning the concepts of the GRE test and performing above average.
Of course there are parts of the GRE you may not need to know for being an AA, but that doesn't mean they are not evaluating your thinking skills and your capabilities of learning.
Remember the GRE is not always about how well you know grammar or math, its also a display of problem solving, critical thinking skills, and work ethic...all important qualities an AA must possess.
My goal here is not to knock you guys down but to motivate you into putting forth your best effort into the GRE because no matter what you say, it does matter and it is indicative of AA qualities.
Just think of the GRE as your first class you would take in AA school. It ultimately is necessary to graduate as an AA and like all other classes, it requires a lot of studying, time, and an above average knowledge of the material to pass.
Good luck to both of you! Study study study! This is what you want to do!!
