If you'd actually been comprehending questions about the raises that AA's receive, they've usually been asked in the form of, "What kinds of raises do AA's TYPICALLY receive?"... meaning, in other words, that nobody is asking for any specific, individual AA's compensation schedule. Instead, people have simply asked about a "typical" or "standard" raise schedule for AA's, meaning that they simply want a general idea of what an AA working for a group can expect in terms of raises (i.e., what is/are considered "standardized" raise schedules?). |
This kind of information is available for almost ANY other profession, whether it's nursing, accounting, teaching... and so on. Just as average income for any profession (including anesthesia) is public information, so is information about common raise schedules.
Yes, there are differences in the compensation/raise schedules between individual groups and hospitals, but even the less common compensation plans differ only slightly from what tends to be offered.
So YES -- this kind of information IS my and anyone else's business, whether you'd like for it to be or not. I know you want to give pre-AA's and other healthcare professionals the impression that this kind of information is top-secret and privvy only to other mighty AA's, but the fact is, compensation information for the AA profession is just as public as that for any other profession. Why do you have the arrogance to think any differently?
