Emory has a board panel. The mood depends on who it is hosting the board, but it can go from somewhat laid back to menacing. In the end, it's can you stay calm under pressure and think through your answer.
Practice not acting afraid and you'll be left alone. If they smell blood, you may get picked on a bit more.
It's not by any means demoralizing or brutal, but some people have different philosophies on how to pick students - some want to bully people around and see how they take it, some just want to ask basic questions.
There WILL be an ethical question with NO CORRECT ANSWER. In medicine, we have these problems all the time. You have to balance what is right for the patient with what is legally correct etc. Pick an answer you can defend and stick with it.
Then wipe your hands on your pants and go home satisfied. Easy enough!
