1) Make sure you have the appropriate dose and concentration of medication. 2) fill syringe. Then titrate if necessary. 3) insert needle into the appropriate port in the IV you placed earlier. 4) Open port. Insert needle with medication. 5) Push in the appropriate amount of medication. 6)Titrate to effect.
