    Kris,
I agree with NOVA-AA. Your first semester is very rigorous. Once your two month Anatomy w/lab is over, you have some breathing room. This semester (Fall) seems to be slightly easier because a large majority of information so far is coming naturally since (personally) I put a lot of effort into reading and learning the material last semester.
The initial difficulty for most people, which I think NOVA-AA was trying to say, is learning how to read A LOT of information on their own and learn it. Just because the professors give notes and present some of the information, doesn't mean you are not responsible for the rest of the information in the reading assignments. And trust me, it is a lot of reading. You must make sure this is what you want to do because the amount of free time is limited. Also, you have to pass a licensure exam at the end of 27-months. So undergraduate style rote memorization probably won't cut it for most people. You will need to learn the information so it stays with you throughout your career. To conclude, I am enjoying every minute. It is challenging and rewarding.
