I will explain it to you. Theres a bunch of Nurse Anesthetists who forgot they went to nursing school (not medical school, not even close) but still want to be called Doctor. So basically, your going to see a bunch of Dr. Nurses running around. Identity Crisis is never a good things. Why you ask? Well it probably stems from one of two issues:
A) They are tired of being referred to as a nurse, has almost a negative connotation in the field of anesthesiology
AND/OR
B) It is all part of their mischievous plan to get rid of every anesthesiologist based practitioner besides them. MUAHAHAHHAHA. But shhhhh, dont tell the patients that those aren't real doctors.
Personally, I think its quite sad. They already have jobs, but want more. Look at every dictator in our past who didn't know when to stop. Nurse anesthetists already make way too much for a nursing profession, yet its not enough. Dont worry, soon it will come crashing down for your profession. I almost hope it does happen, and when quality of care studies are published and all of a sudden you see this large spike in death rates in the OR, hopefully they'll realize what a grand mistake they made.
