Hi, I'm looking for some advice from AA's or recently accepted AA's. I have just completed my last 4 classes towards my BS and have been gearing towards the AA program for over a year now. I've always wanted a career in the medical field and when I found out about this program, I felt it was definitely what I wanted to do. I still have to take: General chemistry with lab Organic chemistry with lab Biochemistry General physics with lab Calculus Cell & molecular biology Organic Chemistry I also have to take the MCAT/GRE... Initially I wanted to try an get everything together to apply for 2010 admission, but considering the amount of classes I still need to take, I'm not sure how feasible that may be. I would like to hear opinions and hopefully gain some insight of what I should do. This program is very competitive and only seems to get more and more competitive each year. I am gearing towards NSU because that's where I will be receiving my BS, but I am willing to move if there are better chances elsewhere. Currently my GPA is a 3.7, and I know it will take a lot of studying for me to pass these classes. I am really nervous...please any advice will help. 1. Has anyone taken these courses at Broward Community College/Miami Dade Community College/Nova/FIU/FAU? If so are there any prof. that you would recommend? 2. How long do you think I should give myself to complete these classes and apply for an AA program? 3. To those that have been accepted to an AA program...Did you do any community service/outreach/ or anything to stand out other than GPA/test scores/ and required courses? Sorry to ask so many questions, it seems like this is the best place to go to seek answers. Thank you so much for your time and advice and I'll appreciate any advice and feedback.
