From what I understand, probably not. If you can show that it was an isolated incident, how you learned from it, etc.
My conviction was for simple battery. I have talked to the schools I would be interested in applying to and they said this wouldn't be an issue. I've also talked to a professional licensing attorney who has also said that this wouldn't be an issue... just don't get into trouble again!
Most schools/state medical boards are considered with crimes of moral turpitude and felonies.
