Thanks to you both! I live in Kansas City so AA's are a small group and have a dozen students to juggle already. Believe me, if I could shadow every week I'd be there because it was seriously cool! Should I dare try to get shadow time with CRNA's? I've called the two big anesthesiology groups in the city and explained my desire to either shadow or do an internship with a Doc. They suggested I call back after I complete my bachelors. Why then I do not know. That's why I thought actual hospital time would at least be helpful. I'm also on the list to volunteer in the PACU unit at a couple of hospitals. Generally those are only open temporarily as hip replacements heal remarkably fast these days. If you have any tips to share on getting in to shadow the related fields, I would be forever in your debt!
