You get a week between summer semester and the fall. One or two days for Thanksgiving. About a week and a half for Christmas and New Years. A week in April for spring break and a few days before the summer semester starts. You'll definitely have the opportunity to take a few trips over breaks. I think pretty much everyone in my class has gone somewhere at least one of the breaks. In addition to those breaks, you also get off about a week in October for the ASA conference and 5 days or so off in April for the AAAA conference.
