Apple, there have been talks through out the Texas Medical Center (TMC) in Houston,Texas since the last week of March 2009, of two hospitals affiliated with The University of Texas Medical School in recuriting A.A.-C.s as regular staff and A.A.-S.s (student anesthetist) as a clinical rotation site.

I think It's awesome bringing A.A.-C.s to the Texas Medical Center, a long over do process Why?..I think It's sad out of six major hospitals in the TMC and that being said the "largest medical center in the world" with two being a Level One Trauma Center teaching academic hospital, you have M.D.s, D.O.s, PA-Cs, ANPs, and CRNAs.

All of theses providers and mid-level providers I have just mentioned cited above work at all six major hospitals in the TMC, but no A.A.-C.s working at any of the six major hospitals in the TMC Why? (Politics).

You can call The University of Texas (U.T.) Medical School at Houston, ask for the anesthesiology dept. ask to speak to the person or have them appoint you to the right person in charge of recruiting AA-Cs, New grad AA-Cs on staff or AA-S (student anesthetist).

Memorial Hermann Hospital (Affiliated with U.T. Medical School) and Ben Taub General Hospital (County/Afiliated with Baylor University School of Medicine) are both Level One Trauma Center Academic Teaching Hospitals in the TMC.

Another idea you can do to find out what hospitals and states are looking to hire A.A.-C.s or A.A.-S. for clinical rotation sites, call all of the AA programs I beleive they can better assist you on what hospitals old & new and/or states old & new who are looking to hire A.A.-C.s along with A.A.-S.s.

I hope I have helped you in some way.
