Not to many people on this site are good at answering this question. Either that, or they just don't want to. Im not sure if its because there are alot of pre-AA or AA students here but every thread that comes up asking about the AA profession never really gets answered. I would suggest you try and locate one in your area, shadow them, and use that time to ask them any questions you may have.
I can tell you thought that AA's are not currently allowed to practice in Tennessee. From what I have learned it can be a 40 hour work week if you like, with opportunity for more work if you want over the weekends and on call.
