I would definitely work on getting my gpa up to around a 3.5 or so. Start preparing for the GRE and/or the MCAT. It couldn't hurt to take those early to see how well you do and give yourself time to retake them if need be. Get to know your professors as well as you can so you can get stellar letters of recommendation. Maybe do some research with one of your chemistry or biology professors one semester. That always looks good on an application and even better if you are able to publish your study. Also, just keep getting as much hospital experience as possible - OR shadowing and other types of volunteering. Good Luck.
