I've been researching becoming an AA, I've always wanted to become in Anesthesiologist but the idea of 12 years of school scares me and thats how I discovered an assistant position.. and I have a few questions I couldn't find by Googleing...

    1. I live in Connecticut, are they're any schools in ct or new england?

    2. Exactly how many years of schooling is there? and how easy is it to get accepted?
(I have an unimpressive high school transcript from lack of effort, and I have an associates degree in fashion design and merchandising.. I know, big switch..)

    3. What are some typical classes one would have to take in order to become an anesthesiologist assistant?

    4. How much contact is there with bodily fluid (Esp. vomit)?
Like, in high school I took CNA courses and once clinical started I dropped out of the program because, honestly bodily fluids and old people creep me out...

    5. How graphic is the operations to the AA?
Like, sometimes I'll watch Dr. 90210 on tv, and when they're operating I cant always watch all of it.. is being an AA very graphic or are you more or less just monitoring from a distance?

    6. Would it be worth it to just give the money, effort, and time into becoming an (MD) anesthesiologist rather then the assistant?

..I'm sorry I have so many questions, I just really regret not putting the effort in high school and now I'm afraid I've ruined my chances, plus I'm not insanely smart either, I struggle in math for one example. but I've always found the medical field really interesting.. I just think the classes might be over my head... I'm only 20 and ive changed my major 3 times, I would really appreciate anything that could help me!! thanksss!
