1. Upstream? 2. He is paying you? Just what kind of work situation did you get yourself in? I bill for my own work and get paid for it, the money does not filter through an anesthesiologist. 3. Let them earn all the market will bear? For some reason they are suppose to bill for less than they can get? Turn it around, are you saying I should bill for less than I can get? Why go to school for years to learn a profession that makes good money and then not insist on making good money. 4. You totally missed the point of the parable. If you agree to work for a certain amount then you should not b###h when you get paid that certain amount. If you agreed to work (for MDAs) for a certain amount, you have no right to complain when they pay you that amount. What they make or earn does not matter. Perhaps the next time you agree to work for MDAs you should put in a percentage clause so when they get more money, you get more money. Or better yet, stop working for them since that seems to be your issue. Become and independent contractor who bills for his own services. You do know there are some hospitals that have ALL CRNA staffs with no MDAs anywhere. Go find one of those places. Check out gaswork.com.
