Hi Scott(PA-C)as of matter of fact there is another AA program(anesthetist school)coming up next year 2009 in Miami, Florida that will be the 6th school for AA-Cs. That means you will have two AA schools in the state of Georgia, two AA schools in the state of Florida, one AA school in the state of Ohio, and one AA school in the state of Missouri.
It's only a matter of time before other states following to open more AA programs through out the states to help alleviate the ever growing shortage of anesthesia providers MDA/DOA and mid-level anesthesia providers CRNA/AA-C.
Just look at the state of Oklahoma for example they just "Licensed" AA-C in that state because of lack of mid-level anesthesia providers which are CRNAs there's not enough of them in that particular state as well as other states.
