Hi Josh,R.N.,B.S.N. it's so nice to hear from a "true," caring, non judgemental, open minded, and "respectful "Nurse" if your the same person I talked to a few weeks ago if not my apology. Are you still thinking about going the AA route route?...from your last post you were wanting to go the AA route instead of CRNA route for personal reason.

It doesn't surprise me when you said it was basically unopposed by the CRNA lobby it just goes to show you $$$money Isn't everything nor can it buy everything either. The CRNAs in Texas(TSNA - Texas Society of Nurse Anesthetist) did the same thing when it was time for AA-Cs to work and/or become "licensed," this is about "patient care" period. The AANA know they have a major shortage but yet and still they won't recognize or welcome AA-Cs into the "anesthesia practice" settings in their society WHY is that?.

My Ideal would be welcoming new grad AA-C to work in an "ALL" CRNA practice group(which is already happening in the state of Florida and Texas),just as new grad CRNAs it would be essential to help to alleviate the shortage across the nation which mean opening more AA programs and allowing AA-Cs to practice in all 50 states and not run to legislation and block AA-Cs when there's a need for mid-level anesthesia providers in those crucial states "BOTH" CRNAs/AA-Cs.

Where doing the exact same job in the ACT model AA-C/CRNA

Take care best wishes to you
