Important question about UMKC - cost of the programArchived Message

When I initially started communicating with UMKC about their new AA program, I was eventually told that the program would cost about 55K a year. Since I previously received a master's degree in acupuncture from the most expensive acupuncture school in the country, I realized that I wouldn't be able to take out enough loans to cover the program.
For those in the program [or in the know], I have two questions:
1. Is the program really that expensive? If so, do those at UMKC think that the program will eventually get state and federal funding to lower the cost?
2. I was told that it is common to pay for the first year and then get picked up by an anesthesia group that agrees to pay for your second year and give you a stipend if you agree to work for them for x number of years. Is this true, and how common are these types of arrangements?
