Greg, if this is truly what you want to do for the rest of your life then don’t give up. I’ve been there man. I know it’s very tough to get that letter. It’s like getting kicked in the gut but worse because it lingers for a while. You’re not alone. Don't get discouraged. Take it as an opportunity to strengthen your application. Start planning now. Look at your weaknesses and attack the application process. Maybe it’ taking more classes related to the field, maybe raising your GRE score, maybe finishing a related Masters, getting medical experience ect…. This profession is constantly battling adversity and I’m sure these admission committees are looking to see how candidates themselves handle it as well.
