Hi, I'm responding to several people with the question can AA-C's be Chief Anesthetist just like a CRNA Chief Anesthetist at a Hospital or University. Some CRNA's(not all CRNA's)have disputed me on this issue that AA-C's can not be Chief Anesthetist.

The answer is YES! a AA-C can and are Chief Anesthetist just as a CRNA Chief Anesthetist. Whether It's at a Hospital and/or University, For example there are two Chief Anesthetist's AA-C

#1.Mr.R W Chief Anesthetist,AA-C,MMSc,RRT, director and professor at a University and Hospital in Florida and Georgia. FACT! practicing as we speak 2008.

#2.Mr.G M Chief Anesthetist,AA-C,MSA,MBA, at a Hospital in Atlanta, GA. FACT! practicing as we speak 2008.

Another question has been asked or disputed by some CRNA's(not all CRNA's)can AA-C's teach or train SRNA's(CRNA)the answer is YES! they(AA-C) can and do teach CRNA's(SRNA). FACT!

Can a AA-C have a Master Degree in education just as a CRNA ?...The answer is YES! Ms.J W,AA-C,MSA,M.Ed. and Mr.J R,AA-C,MSA,M.Ed. both with two Master's degree's, FACT! both are practicing as we speak 2008.

Let put this in prospective AA-C/CRNA obtaining a Master's degree in Education.

#1.John Can,AA-C,MHSc,M.Ed.,Anesthetist(Master of Health Science Degree in Anesthesiology and Master's Degree in Education).

#2.Sue Prep,MSN,M.Ed.,CRNA,Anesthetist(Master of Science in Nursing Degree and Master's Degree in Education).

In closing why can't we just work together to reach one common goal which is the benefit of the "PATIENTS FIRST" always. When will the battle ever end with CRNA's vs AA-C's ?...When will CRNA's realize that(AA-C's)are here for the soul purpose of working as team together to focus on what's really important, that is providing service to the shortage of Anesthesia across the nation(U.S.).
