While i am not an AA yet i do hope to be one one day. I do however work very closely with AA's and CRNAs. From what I've noticed while doctors for obvious reason dont consider AA peers, they do hold them in high regards as an intricate member of the surgical team. I work in a community hospital in South Florida. The AAs are not only often mistaken for Anesthesiologists but also get the perks. (ie. eat in the doctors dining room, use of physician facilities.) I am a scrub nurse and love getting my hands in the bloody mess but the more Anesthesiologists teach me about their profession the more in love i fall.
