Chances of being accepted.... Archived Message

Posted by Eric on September 23, 2007, 11:31 am

I understand that this is a highly speculative question, but I would like to know from you current AAs what chance I have of being accepted based strictly on my academic merit (or if you knew people that were in a similar situation as me). Ive recently graduated with my bachelors in microbiology and am currently working in a hospital as a microbiologist. My overall GPA from college was a 3.2 (not stellar) but I am taking a physiology, medical terminology, and anatomy class to boost this score a little. I know I can get at least a 1200 on the GRE (have taken practice exams) and will obviouslly have experience in a hospital from work (and also time shadowing an anesthesiologist + 80 hours volunteer time on an ortho floor) What do you think my chances are based on what you guys had when you applied. Im a little worried because im not a nurse, or EMT or have a position which puts me with patients everyday. I know the deadline time is approaching here so any help/info would be appreciated. Thanks A Lot
