    Hi pete

Why would you even tell DT something like that? It has nothing to do with limiting yourself. It's about which route is going to suit him/her best.

Or how fast they want to become a Anesthetist. True AAs/AA-Cs can not work in all 50 states now. But I'm sure that will change sometime in the future as more laws and legislation open the doors for AAs/AA-Cs practice.

AAs/AA-Cs now work in nearly 20 states now from only 2 states nearly 40 years ago. What does that tell you?. As the years progress AAs/AA-Cs will be able to work in more states. Why do you hate AAs/AA-Cs so much?. What did they do to you?(AA-Cs) for you and your CRNAs colleagues to have so much animosity and hatred towards them?. I would like to know please explain.

If your the same person I spoke to on August 6,2007 the topic was about Autonomy CRNA vs AA or vise versa AA vs CRNA. You told me that CRNAs were training and teaching Anesthesiologist Assistant students(AA-S) at South University. And I reply by saying and your point is? I said I think It's great that CRNAs are teaching AA-S and SRNA as well.

I also stated that AA-C can and do train or teach R.N. students(SRNA) who went the AA route and AA-S(students)both. You also stated that AA-Cs can not train or teach SRNA(CRNA students). You also told me if you were incorrect to please post the information. sorry to have disappoint pete.

AA-Cs can train or teach SRNA students(CRNA)FACT. This particular AA-C is teaching and training CRNA students(SRNA). AA-Cs can also train and teach AA-S(students)FACT. Hears your information. Please read this story.

This is what I call Perseverance not giving up or not letting politics get in the way. Which in this case it did. But it didn't stop him from getting in and working in an all CRNA practice group. This AA-C is the first in Florida to do this from my understanding.

There's another AA-C here in Texas also working with an all CRNA practice group. There are 7 CRNAs and 1 AA-C with a Master Medical Science in Anesthesiology(Anesthetist))FACT. The bottom line pete It's about patient first. Always remember that or have you forgotten?. For once put your ego and ignorance to the side and focus on what's best and important for the patient. I hope you and your CRNAs colleagues will learn something after reading this story. Whether you and your CRNAs colleagues like it or not AAs/AA-Cs are here to stay. Their not going any where no tome soon. AAs/AA-Cs are not your problem so why keep bashing and disrespecting them?. Have a good day pete
