Higher payment for weekend shifts?Archived Message

I noticed on Gaswork.com that a number of anesthesia groups will offer CRNAs significantly higher salaries to do weekend shifts. For example, I recall viewing a job post in which the group offered around $1,000 for every 8 hour weekend shift on the maternity ward (I think). It might have been even more than that.
What I'm wondering is, do groups offer AAs the same kind of deals? Is it standard to do so?
Because, if this is the standard, I'm going to work a 4 weekend shifts per month! Do the math: if I were to work a shift every weekend (say, every Sunday of the month), that would be an extra $4,000/month. $4,000/month X 12 months is $48,000; in other words, almost $50,000 more per year!
If I was to sign on right out of AA school with a good private group for $150k/year, that would easily push my yearly income to $200,000/year.
That's not even considering the extra hour or two of overtime I would be putting in during the week.
So, for those of you who are currently AAs -- is it common to be offered a seriously inflated pay-rate to do weekend shifts?
