To my knowledge there are only the 5 schools and the newest is Kansas City. Supposedly, there is another school somewhere gearing up for it but no news on the net yet. Google around there may be more news forthcoming. Kansas got up and running pretty quick.
I am not that hopeful for AA if the national organization does not get busy and court some more programs. The base that CRNA programs have is huge and they will out populate AA's easily if the feel threatened. Either way, I think it's a great career path. I believe AA should remain a open viable field with specific entry for PA's especially since it's a medical vs nursing model. For PA's who like to specialize it's a better option should they want this profession b/c of pay, etc.
